Interview (His Emo Servant: Part 1)

Interview (His Emo Servant: Part 1) - K. Matthew 3.5

Interesting beginning :)

This could definitely go somewhere.

Well With My Soul

Well with My Soul - Gregory G. Allen The family dynamic is powerful, poignant, and compelling. Read it in one sitting. Definitely recommended.

Raising Wild Ginger

Raising Wild Ginger - Tara Woolpy I enjoyed this tremendously, from the flawed characters, to the magic of their relationship, to the generosity and the angst of their hearts.

Highly recommended.

When Minds Collide (A Phoenician Series Novella) (The Phoenician Series)

When Minds Collide (A Phoenician Series Novella) (The Phoenician Series) - Marjorie F. Baldwin Above all genres, sci-fi is the one for me. I was raised and weaned on it (along with horror), so when I find something I can dig my teeth into I really enjoy it.

Though a short intro into a larger series, this was one such book. Some grit, some questionable ethics, and two gay MCs and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how this develops.

Inside the Outside

Inside the Outside - Martin Lastrapes Very different and original. Not the usual mind numbing zombie blech that has become 'horror.' If you're one of those 'comfort zone' readers... move on.

BrookLyn's Journey

BrookLyn's Journey - Coffey Brown Very good debut, and recommended especially for YA LGBT readers. Touches on some difficult subjects. A bit too syrupy in places for me personally, but when you're young and searching, those are some of the moments you cherish most.

Black Numbers, Edition One

Black Numbers, Edition One - Dean Frank Lappi Quickly pulled me in and kept me engaged. Read it in one sitting. Looking forward to the next one.

Snap

Snap - Allen Renfro Loved it, probably one of the best books I've read this year. An eclectic book that gets into the meat and bones. VERY Highly recommended.

Something Like Summer (Season #1)

Something Like Summer (Season #1) - Jay Bell Very easy read and thoroughly enjoyed it.

1Q84

1Q84 - Jay Rubin, Philip Gabriel, Haruki Murakami A tome, but very much worth the long read. Love his use of language. Count me a big fan.

Genet: A Biography

Genet - Edmund White Read this many years ago, one of my favorites then, and it still is.

Hemingway's Boat: Everything He Loved in Life, and Lost, 1934-1961

Hemingway's Boat: Everything He Loved in Life, and Lost, 1934-1961 - Paul Hendrickson Started good and then got a bit monotonous
A Gentle Hell - Autumn Christian A lyrical prose that offers more than the typical horror novel. Very well done.

Savior

Savior - Bran Lindy Ayres Ate this up like candy. Excellent characterization and a thoroughly good read. Highly recommended for M/M fans.

We the Animals: A novel

We the Animals - Justin Torres Very well written and worth the read. Loved the fact that Torres allowed readers to explore the spaces between the words rather than filling it with the dribble that most pub houses require to build word count.

Bullied: The Complete Series

Bullied: The Complete Series - Christopher Smith, Brandi Doane, Jon McCann Solidly written and would recommend for teen/YA. Read it all in one sitting, but liked how it was broken down into four books for younger readers.

Would recommend.
